American Home Shield Brings Spanish-Language Resources to YouTube Offering Helpful Maintenance Repair Tips and More

Spanish-speaking consumers looking for helpful home repair and maintenance tips can now tune in to the American Home Shield YouTube channel to hear from CC Limardo, host of the popular “Casa Al Dia” program, on a variety of home-related topics including quick fixes for common household breakdowns and what homeowners can do to help prevent them, energy-saving ideas and more.

The newly-released videos focus primarily on major appliances, as well as air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems. However, Limardo also explains important differences between homeowners insurance and home warranties, and how home warranties can benefit both buyers and sellers as part of the real estate sales process.

American Home Shield, the nation’s leading provider of home warranties, produced more than 30 Spanish-language videos on home repair and maintenance last year as part of its popular “Home Matters” series, raising the number of Spanish-language videos to more than 50. The American Home Shield YouTube channel, which has more than 150 videos in total, now also claims more than 1.4 million views.

The company’s new Spanish language videos are one of several ways that the company is reaching out to the growing number of Hispanic homeowners. A direct response television commercial began airing in late 2013 on national Spanish-language networks, and the company has recently launched a new website, www.espanol.ahs.com to help Spanish-speaking consumers understand more about home warranties and how they can help protect their budget against unexpected expenses when covered items break down due to normal wear and tear.
